Nepal Police will perform in line with Gen Zs' aspirations: AIG Karki
Kathmandu, Nov 7: Chief of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari, Additional Inspector General, Dan Bahadur Karki, has said Nepal Police would fulfill Gen Zs' aspirations of development construction, good governance and building corruption-free society.
At a programme organised to hand over the reconstructed building of the Police Sector, New Bus Park, today, he underlined that the Nepal Police would make efforts to fulfill Gen Zs' aspirations as it is also the aspirations of the general people. The building was torched and damaged during the Gen Z protest on September 9.
AIG Karki further said the role of general people along with police was indispensible for the security at Gongabu and New Bus Park area as these areas are very sensitive in view of security.
"Around 10,000 people make their movement at Gongabu area every day. Safety of each citizen is the responsibility of the state and Nepal Police," he opined.
Out of 193 police offices were destroyed in Kathmandu Valley during Gen Z protest, 180 buildings were reconstructed at the initiative of citizens so far, he stated.
AIG Karki expressed the belief that police personnel would perform their duty with high-morale from the new building.
Similarly, Mayor of Tokha municipality, Prakash Adhikari, underscored that the police building reconstructed from community-level has proved the importance of Nepal Police towards society.
Different organisations were honoured for their support in reconstruction of the police building on the occasion.
